When the aliens arrive, before they scoop us up and suspend all Bravo programming, they may ask us for a few last words — something brief that summarizes what life was like down here and how we spent our time. I’d like to submit the following from Paula Deen on the Season 21 premiere of Dancing With the Stars, when she stood before the judges:

“I had on white underwear when I started, but it probably ain’t white no more. That’s all I got to say. I was scared.”

Deen and her partner, Louis van Amstel, danced to Hey, Good Lookin’ by Carol Welsman, a song that afforded them the opportunity to have Deen stand in a kitchen during the line “whatcha got cookin’?” No major disasters but the judges said she seemed scared, an observation Deen agreed with no less than five times.
